Sensory Snails - Full Body Painting

When: Saturday 31st January, 8:30am - 9:15am

Where: The Gap (Address will be sent after purchase to protect the privacy and safety of children in attendance)

What To Wear: Clothes that you don’t mind making a mess in & sunscreen

What To Bring: Water bottle & a spare change of clothes for the ride home (optional!)

Recommended for our younger friends (6m - 18m), the Sensory Snails workshop is centered around introducing children to a range of materials, textures, and experiences through sensory and messy play. Each session will feature a big, messy group activity that promotes the development of fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination while simultaneously encouraging creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving.

One sibling is welcome to join us, but if two or more siblings are coming along please purchase an additional item.

We emphasise the importance of the process rather than the end result, building the children’s self-confidence and supporting them to engage in pressure-free creative exploration. Each session will feature a big, messy group art experience that is perfect for creative exploration and expression

Hi, I’m Thea!

I’m the creator of and carer for The Gap Gumnuts. My time working in big daycare centers taught me the importance of a warm, welcoming, and secure environment for babies and toddlers. I started The Gap Gumnuts to offer an education and care experience that aligned with those beliefs. I’m passionate about building strong relationships with each of my little visitors, and providing them with opportunities for play and discovery that will foster a lifelong sense of curiosity and love of learning within them.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, alongside many relevant trainings and certificates including First Aid, CPR, Safe Sleeping, Child Protection, Food Safety, and Emergency Response.
